UlsterArt is a passion project by Ken Rookes.
Known as Lofty to his friends he was born in Belfast in the late 1950s and moved to Newtownabbey in the 1970s. Ken is a Joiner by trade with over 50 years of experience in the industry and is currently the owner of a successful Joinery business.
Since the age of 10, Ken's passion has been Art where he enjoyed drawing and sketching. As his interest matured, he developed a particular interest in the the Oil and Acrylic paint medium.

During lockdown, Ken re-kindled his interest in art, putting brush to canvas on a daily basis where he would paint pieces from photographs taken on his travels. Alongside his own art, Ken started buying and selling many pieces of art that he has personally connected with from all over the British Isles, Europe and beyond.
UlsterArt is a showcase of Ken's collection where you can share his apprecation for art with the opportunity to own a piece of this original, diverse collection.
